Early streamer emission(ESE) lightening arrester

One of the newest types of lightning arrests are capacitive electronics or active lightning arrests that have a simple and yet very effective appearance. 

Active lightning arrests, which are tectology of making them air distance, are called capacitive electronic lightning arresters and are one of the most important and best equipment for protecting against the effects of direct lightning strike.

Under atmospheric conditions, the charges in the cloud are ionized and separated, so that negative charges move down the cloud and the positive charges go upwards or vice versa and the electrical potential in the cloud reaches about a million volts.

At the ground level, in the same conditions, this effect is caused by different polarities. The electric field between the lower part of the cloud and the ground surface becomes very intense and an electrical discharge is created, resulting in a downward current.

When this discharge reaches the surface, it creates a positive upward charge. When these two currents collide, the discharge circuit is closed and a discharge current between 10 and 200kA is produced.

Lightning protection should protect all available points of the building and its duty is to prevent direct lightning strikes to the structure and discharge the lightning current to the ground.

To install these points should be considered: placing lightning on the relevant base – using one or more intermediate conductors – a test clamp for each intermediate conductor to measure ground resistance – separate ground system for each intermediate conductor – also potential of earth systems.

By using capacitive electronics technology and creating a wider umbrella than passive lightning arrests, direct lightning strikes on the structure can be prevented by installing a lightning terminal and is much more economical than passive lightning arrests.
